Shalai rises inside an ancient Sicilian noble palace in the heart of Linguaglossa on the slopes of the Etna volcano.The accurate renovation of the palace has restored the exact emphasis of the interior architectural beauties such as the vaulted roofs riches of frescos, adapting the space to the new uses through a contemporary design language and giving charm and fascination to the environment.The hotel has 13 rooms: two Superior single rooms with small double bed (190x140), 6 Standard double rooms, 2  three-bed rooms, 2 Superior double rooms and a Family room all with King Size beds(193x203). Indoors there is a reading hall, an all-day-long bar, a two-rooms restaurant for 40 seats, a small Wellness Centre with sauna, hydro massage minipool, Turkish bath and 3 massage rooms. The restaurant with its two intimate and cosy rooms offers a Sicilian cuisine rich in odours and in intense and delicate flavours thanks to the accurate search of ingredients and raw materials, among the best of the territory.

Linguaglossa is a little village, rising 550 meters away from the slopes of Etna Volcano, ideally placed to visit the Park and its unlosable active craters reachable by a 4x4 jeep or minibus (local guides are recommended). For golf lovers, the “Picciolo” golf course is only 5 minutes away from the resort. But this village is strategically positioned to visit many interesting places of Eastern Sicily, such as Taormina, the pearl of the Mediterranean, and its beaches, the scenographic Alcantara River Gorges  the living and polyhedral town of Catania, the Parco dei Nebrodi (the Nebrodi Park) and Siracusa .
