This property provides a wonderful opportunity to sample at first-hand the atmosphere of a small winery, surrounded by 180 hectares of vines planted on rolling countryside. The property has a long history and has belonged for many years to an aristocratic Sicilian family who have now decided to make it their main residence after an absence of many years. An unmissable opportunity to learn the secrets of winemaking at an award-winning winery and dine on wonderful food, surrounded by countryside of rare beauty. The whole property is available for rental on an exclusive basis.

The estate, founded at the beginning of the last century, has recently been stylishly renovated by the current owners and maintains many of its original features. Five delightful apartments have been created from cottages used in the past by the estate workers.
"Pimpa" is located a few metres from the main residence. The house is open-plan covering an area of 66 square metres and looks onto the vines which cover the surrounding hills. The large room contains a king-size bed, a traditional kitchen and two sofas built into the wall which can be converted into two single beds. In front of the large dining table there is a magnificent covered terrace with a chaise longue. The bathroom with shower is equipped for use by the disabled.
"Janine" comprises an elegant living room painted in tones of ochre, a kitchen which is separated from the living room by a built-in book case and a bathroom with shower. A staircase leads from the living room to a wooden mezzanine floor which contains a queen-size bed. The house has wonderful views of the surrounding vines. The house is located farthest from the winery and is in a quiet spot, close to the restaurant and kitchen garden.
"Azzurra" has been decorated in cool shades of blue and white. The accommodation comprises a living room with sofa beds for children and a kitchen area, a bedroom with queen-size bed and a splendid view of the vines. The area outside is furnished with a table, chairs sofas and sun beds.
"Gialla" comprises a living room with cast-iron wood-burning stove, a sofa bed, a bathroom with shower and a bedroom with double bed and sliding doors onto a wooden veranda with a hammock, a small table, chairs and sofas built into the wall.
"Soleluna" comprises a living room with sofa bed, a cast-iron wood-burning stove and a dining table for 4 people, a bathroom with shower, a bedroom with double bed which faces onto a veranda with a table, chairs and sofas built into the wall.
"Sonja" has a wood-panelled ceiling and comprises an elegant living room on two levels with a sofa bed, a book case, a kitchen area and a bathroom with shower. A staircase leads to a mezzanine floor with a double bed and terrace that has splendid views of the vines and surrounding hills.
Outside there is the winery which produces and bottles wine, gardens and a magnificent 18x8 metre swimming pool with terrace and bar and a small restaurant where it is possible to sample local dishes and fresh fish from the area around Mazara del Vallo, expertly combined with wine from the estate.

Despite being in the middle of the countryside, you are in an ideal location from which to visit the natural and cultural sights of western Sicily. In particular the Temple and the Theatre of Segesta, the archeological Park of  Selinunte, the Saline and the Stagnone of Trapani, the gorgeous isole Egadi, the Riserva dello Zingaro and the beaches of Scopello, San Vito Lo Capo and Macari, the medieval village of  Erice (you can even go by cableway), the historical  Wineries of Marsala, and the fascinating historical centre of Palermo. All those places are within one hour drive!

If the whole property is rented for exclusive use, guests may use the communal kitchen or request the restaurant service at an additional cost, payable locally, of Euros 30.00 per person per meal.
