Splendid and exclusive location on the beach in the protected Belice river nature reserve in the south-eastern part of the island near to the seaside village of Portopalo di Menfi in the province of Agrigento. This delightful villa has magnificent views of the gulf and Mediterranean sea which is refreshing and crystal-clear in this part of the island. Swimming here is a real experience for the senses. Open the small gate from the garden and within a few short steps you are on the beach!

The key attraction of this property is undoubtedly its garden with direct access to the beach and stunning views of the sparkling Mediterranean sea. You have a priceless view from all angles of the property and will be lulled to sleep at night by the gentle sound of the waves. The garden is planted with a selection of typical ornamental Mediterranean plants (bouganvillea, oleanders, champerops, palm trees and agave) and contains numerous areas in which to relax and enjoy the fresh air, enjoy the view and eat lunch or dinner. The villa is decorated inside and furnished in a style which is typical of Sicilian houses by the sea with a predominance of blue and orange. On the ground floor there is a large living room with two large sofas built into the wall, a small area behind the fireplace whih contains a sofa for two people, a dining area with a dining table, a kitchen area, a small laundry room with washing machine and a bathroom with washbasin and toilet. Outside in front of the kitchen there is a dining table and behind the house there is a delightful covered kitchen area with gas burners, sink, barbecue and dishwasher. Via a wide staircase access is gained to the first floor which comprises  a bedroom with double bed and window which provides a spectacular view of the entire gulf, another large window, a terrace and a bathroom with shower, a bedroom with bunk beds and sea views, a bedroom with twin beds, terrace and sea views and another bathroom with shower.

The house is located in the heart of the River Belice nature reserve on the beach of Portopalo, awarded for the ninth time the Blue Flag award by the Legambiente which is the highest award possible in Italy for sevices and cleanliness. In addition to enjoying and admiring the local area there are many other sights accessible in a half-day trip from here. The archeological park of Selinunte, visits to the historical wineries at Marsala, the salt pans in Trapani, the Valley of the Temples at Agrigento and numerous beaches such as Scala dei Turchi and Torre Salsa. There are a number of good restaurants in the area of which we recommend the award-winning "Vittorio" which is located on the beach and serves local seafood and "Il Vigneto". Boat trips are also available from Portopalo.
