This splendid B&B is located in the 18th century Palazzo Pantelleria in a quiet position in the heart of the historic centre of Palermo with a wonderful view of the sea. The property is well furnished and provides a calm and welcoming environment. It is an ideal location from which to explore the fascinating historic centre of Palermo on foot.

The property is located inside an historic house, Palazzo Pantelleria, and comprises 6 rooms all furnished in a different way with a modern, elegant design: 1 standard room with twin beds, 4 deluxe rooms with twin beds and 1 suite. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, minibar, safe and wireless internet connection. A common room with bar and veranda with sea view for breakfast is available for use by guests. The service and welcome here is truly excellent. A rich and personalised selection is available for breakfast.

This is an ideal location from which to visit the whole of the historic centre of Palermo starting from the nearby Kalsa district which is the oldest district in the city, the ancient Spasimo church, now partially restored and used for concerts, numerous street markets including the famous Vucciria market and the less tourist-orientated markets of Capo and Ballarò. On Sunday there is a flea market in Piazza Marina (where many second hand merchants of the city meet), famous also for its historic palaces including the magnificent Palazzo Steri where art exhibitions are often held. Tours of the city in horse and carriage or by sightseeing bus to see sights such as the Quattro Canti, the Palazzo Reale, the Castello della Zisa, the Cathedral, the Teatro Massimo and other monuments in the city are available. There are numerous good restaurants and trattorias in the neighbourhood, ranging from the Kursal Kalesa Club with its own bookshop and bar where jazz concerts are often held to the bars, restaurants and pizzerias located in Piazza Marina. We recommend at least 3 days for your stay.

• Courses on Sicilian Cooking upon request and for a minimum of 4 people. The courses include a visita to the Ballaro or Capo street market to purchase ingredients, cooking lesson and preparation of a "degustation" dinner.
• Aperitifs on the Rigid Hull Inflatable SACS 23. Trips in a rigid hull inflatable boat including aperitifs and bathing at sunset. Duration approximately two and a half hours and a cost of Euros 45 per person with prosecco wine and appetizers for a minimum of 4 people.
• Boat Trips in a Rigid Hull Inflatable to the Gulf of Mondello and Capogallo for half a day (approximately 4 hours) at a cost of Euros 250.00 for 2 people or Euros 400.00 for 3 to 6 people, cost of driver and petrol included.
• Tailor-Made Excursions for a minimum of 6 people to Ustica, the Zingaro nature reserve, San Vito Lo Capo from 25th May 2009, excluding petrol. Tariff to be agreed separately according to the destination.
