Filicudi, the island where the house is located, is part of the Aeolian Islands which are approximately 35 miles north-west of Sicily in the warm Mediterranean Sea. Filicudi is an island for "purists", considered the quintessence of the Aeolian islands. It is an archaic island that has mantained its original spirit: wild and rampant nature, a great atmosphere, tranquility and silence, the air filled with a thousand Mediterranean scents and a cobalt-blue sea.

The house is a small architectural jewel constructed in the Aeolian style, fascinating and intimate, and its essence will immediately put you in touch with the atmosphere you can feel on the island. The view and position are extraordinary as is the architecture of the house which has many hidden corners to discover and enjoy. A welcoming home that will invite you to spend more time immersed in its silence, dazzled by reflections of the sea which you will not want to stop admiring. Here time will end and your holiday will pass in a moment, leaving you with a desire to return very soon. Outside there is a terrace upstairs overlooking the sea and a corner with a sofa and two armchairs. Through a small doorway access is gained to a room with double bed and wooden loft and an internal door leads to a large master bedroom that overlooks an independent terrace, with a hammock and a panoramic view. On the same floor there is a small bathroom with shower. Descending a small external stone staircase you arrive on the floor below where there is a delightful terrace with a dining table and a beautiful view of the sea. From the terrace there are three doors leading respectively to a room with twin beds, a bathroom with shower and an area consisting of a kitchen, dining room and a living room with sofas and television. The house also has a small laundry that can be accessed from outside. The house is simply furnished in harmony with its surroundings but has all necessary comforts and all of the rooms are well cared-for.

Filicudi is one of the hidden jewels of the Mediterranean, a little corner of paradise which has miraculously remained intact over the centuries. Today there are only 250 people who live here on a permanent basis including fishermen, restaurateurs and some tourists who, quite sensibly, have decided to make this their main home. The handful of houses that exist, well-maintained and all in the typical Aeolian style, now form an integral part of the landscape and pass almost unnoticed. Some famouse celebrities from television and cinema have been dazzled by its peaceful atmosphere and its sparkling sea and have restored a small dwelling for relaxing breaks. On the island there is only one small hotel near the port and some inns that accommodate seasonal tourists, a few small shops and several good restaurants and trattorias. There are very few roads on which to travel by car, one of which leads to the village where the house is located.

The house is equipped with air conditioning in two of the bedrooms and in the living room. Immediate necessities (drinking water, soap and toilet paper) and a small welcome gift are available to guests upon arrival.
