This attractive country farm, built in 1682 and restored with great skill by the current owners, comes complete with its own magnificent swimming pool, some twenty three meters in length! From the house you can enjoy a wonderful view of the wild, unspoilt Ragusan countryside with the blue Mediterranean sea in the background. The residence maintains the original charm of the old country house which once bustled with agrarian life. The house is partially built into the rock and contains an underground cave once used to shelter animals. A heavenly spot in which to sample some of the atmosphere of the old traditional Sicilian country lifestyle.

The accommodation is contained on three levels: as you cross the lovely wooden patio you enter the spacious living room with large windows which look out onto the countryside. On the same floor there is a well-equipped kitchen and a laundry room, one double bedroom with television, ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi and a wonderful view of the surrounding countryside. On the other side there is another double bedroom, and a bathroom with shower. Downstairs you arrive at a mezzanine floor where there is a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower, a twin bedroom, a single bedroom and a bathroom. On the lowest floor there are two beautiful double bedrooms, one with ensuite bathroom with shower, and the other one with shower and toilet ensuite. Both rooms have independent access via the inner courtyard. On the same floor there is also another room with a sofa and a cot and another bathroom with shower. Outside there’s an old courtyard, a lawn with a gazebo and the fabulous 23 x 6 metre swimming pool complete with solarium and well-equipped terrace. It is possible to add up to 3 beds extra. In that case three sofa-beds (sleeping one person each) would be set up in the larger bedrooms. Each extra bed costs 150 euros per week.

The villa is located near the town of Ragusa on a hillside that slopes gently towards the seaside villages of Kamarina, Scoglitti and Marina di Ragusa. Ragusa is located 5 km away, Ibla 6 km, the Castle of Donnafugata 6 km, the beaches of Kamarina 18 km and Modica 25 km. In 15 minutes by car you can get to the wonderful beaches of Irminio river nature reserve, the beaches of Donnalucata, Punta Braccetto, Torre di Mezzo and Punta Secca setting of the famous Italian television series "Il Commissario Montalbano". In one hour by car you can reach Noto – a UNESCO heritage site and capital of Baroque – Ortigia and Syracuse. You are also near to the beautiful nature reserves of Cavagrande del Cassibile and Vendicari, to the incredible beach of Pozzallo (awarded the Legambiente blue flag for its cleanliness in 2009), to the Caves of Ispica, Caltagirone and Pantalica.

The price includes use of the swimming pool, of the cot and of 4 mountain bikes. The following are not included in the price: final cleaning service (Euros 150.00) and electricity and telephone charges which are charged according to the amount consumed. The pool is open from 1st May to 31st October.
