If walls could speak, the ones in this old country house would have quite a few stories to tell: stories of people who lived in the sun-drenched Sicilian countryside, stories of dedication to and respect for the land that provided them with sustenance. A building full of history, elegantly and simply restored, cosy and charming, which is ready to give you a unique and unrepeatable holiday in Sicily!

The house stands on a small promontory close to the provincial road and forms part of an old Sicilian estate where they produce an excellent extra virgin olive oil. Several hundred metres from the house there’s an old olive mill which is still in operation and has been partially converted into a luxury resort. In front of the house there is a stone dwelling which now houses a modern 8 x 4 metre swimming pool, a terrace shaded by palm trees and a barbecue area. Accommodation inside the house comprises a spacious and comfortable living room, a kitchen, 2 bedrooms with bathroom and shower. Via a staircase access is gained to the mezzanine floor where there’s a twin bedroom with a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. The house is surrounded by magnificent olive trees.

Ideal location to visit the south of the Island. There are numerous sights of historic interest within easy reach on a day trip: first and foremost the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento but also the necropolis in Gela, the Mussomeli Castle, Piazza Armerina with its fabulous mosaics and the ruins of Morgantina. For those prepared to travel a little further there's Caltagirone and the Baroque Valley (Noto, Modica, Ragusa Ibla, Ispica). However, this is also an ideal place from which to visit the beautiful, unspoilt beaches on the south coast of Sicily such as Scala dei Turchi, Eraclea Minoa, Torre Salsa, Porto Palo, and the mouth of the river Platani.

Upon request we organize boat trips for parties of up to 8 people to visit the bays and inlets nearby.
