A charming villa built and enlarged during the 1980s on the site of an old building constructed in the Art Nouveau style. The villa’s location in the heart of the elegant and fashionable residential area of Mondello “Valdesi” is central but peaceful, even at the height of the summer season. It stands less than 350 metres away from the splendours of Mondello beach and its beautiful bay. The village of Mondello is also only a short distance away. Once inhabited by fishermen, the village has now been transformed into an elegant summer resort with a variety of cafes, restaurants and small shops. A stay in this elegant villa will enable you to enjoy the relaxing pleasures of a beach holiday in exclusive surroundings.

The villa is surrounded by a beautifully-maintained garden rich in Mediterranean vegetation which covers an area of approximately 1,500 square metres. In the centre of the garden there is a delightful 10 x 4 metre swimming pool set amongst palms, cactus and banana trees. Inside, the villa is furnished with well-made antique furniture. The spacious living room has two large picture windows with a view of the garden and swimming pool, a relaxation area with sofas, a satellite television set and a DVD player, and a dining area with a dining table for 6 people.
On the same level, up a small flight of three steps, there is a master bedroom with a double bed, a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, and a bedroom with three single beds, two of which can be joined together to form a double bed. There are also two bathrooms each with a bath and shower and a large, comfortable kitchen with a dining table. The rooms all have air conditioning.
Outside at the front of the house there is a swimming pool, a large 4 x 4 metre sun umbrella with sofas and armchairs and an old iron gazebo. At the back of the house there is a spacious, covered terrace with a large barbecue, a wood-fired oven, a dining table, an alfresco kitchen area constructed in traditional Sicilian style and a washing area. In the garden, 4 meters far from the house, there is the small guest house with independent entrance: here are situated the 4th bedroom, with a double bed and fireplace, and a small bathroom with a shower.

If you want to enjoy a wonderful vacation by the sea and at the same time admire the beauty of western Sicily, discover Palermo’s architectural masterpieces or visit Monreale then you may choose Mondello as your starting point. To the west are the amazing beaches of Scopello (the Zingaro nature reserve) and San Vito lo Capo which can be reached in around 40 minutes by car. Just over one hour by car in the same direction is the medieval town of Erice, the salt pans of Trapani, the island of Mozia and the Egadi islands and the Marsala wineries. To the east, after a drive of around one hour, you can reach Solunto and Cefalù. To the south are Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples, Eraclea Minoa and Scala dei Turchi, all of which can be reached after a drive of around an hour and a half.
Within walking distance from the villa there are some nice cafes (La Capannina is excellent), restaurants (worthy of mention are Bye Bye Blues, le Antiche Mura and Sapori di Mare), pizzeria/restaurants (Villa Antigone) and a supermarket (Olimpo and GS).
If you are looking for even greater peace and tranquillity, especially during high season (July and August) when the beach at Mondello can become a little crowded, we suggest a visit to the seashore near the Riserva di Capo Gallo (also within walking distance) were you will be able to find some isolated spots to swim or alternatively the rocky shores of the Addaura. The best periods to visit are April, May, the first half of June, the second half of September and October.

The house is covered by insurance for damage to people or property.
The owner denies all responsibility for inappropriate use of the swimming pool, above all by or in the presence of children who are not of a suitable age. Immediate necessities (drinking water, soap, toilet paper) are available for guests upon arrival. Small, house-trained pets are allowed.
