You will be astonished by the views and perfumes of this fascinating location. Here Sicily shows its real soul made of scents, flavours and colours. Immersed among carob and olive tress, the “Palmento” will generate strong and intense emotions and a great desire to return when your holiday is over! The view sweeps over the luxuriant hills as far as the deep blue sea while the scent of myrtle and capers rises into your nostrils. You will caress those old stones, able to tell you many an interesting story about this corner of Mediterranean.

Excellent reconstruction of an old “Palmento” dating back to the 19th century where people once crushed grapes to produce wine. At the entrance there is a huge room (97 sq. mt) with a living area on one side and a dining area on the other, with a table which seat 10 people. Located around this room are the kitchen, a bedroom with 2 queen-sized beds (137x191), a bedroom with 1 queen-sized bed (137x191), a bathroom with shower, and a double bedroom with ensuite bathroom with shower. All the beds have a double mattress for greater comfort. All the rooms are provided with air conditioners and LCD satellite TV. In the main building, but with independent entrance, there is a lovely guest house comprising a bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, a kitchen area with a fridge and dispenser and a bathroom with bath tub on the mezzanine floor which is accessed via a wide iron staircase. Close to the pool area there is another little guest house comprising a bedroom with a double bed and a bathroom with double head shower. The guest house is provided with tv and air conditioning. In the garden there are several shaded areas where to relax: the old "Chiurenna" (where once sheeps were hosted) with a nice gazebo with big cushions; there is then a lovely corner with table and chairs for breakfast under an old shady carob tree; in the garden there is the solarium area, with the beautiful swimming pool 30 metre long, with an amazing view of Noto valley and its hills, and of Mediterranean sea. Close to the pool area there is a covered area with outdoor shower. A few metres from the main building there is the laundry area with 2 washing machines and 2 dryers, a little bathroom, a kitchen with a large iron plate which can be used as barbecue, and a covered area with dining table. In the property there are also the ruins of an old monastery skillfully enlightened at night to create a charming atmosphere!

A few kilometres from the villa there is the lovely Baroque town of Noto with its famous cathedral and several fascinating palaces, a triumph of Sicilian Baroque. You can easily visit the other important Baroque towns of south-eastern Sicily: Ispica, Ragusa Ibla, Palazzolo Acreide, Modica and many others. The area is rich in beautiful, long, sandy beaches and incredible nature reserves such as Vendicari or the mouth of the Irminio river. Don’t miss one of the most beautiful coastal spots in Sicily, the beach of “Cala Mosche” in the Vendicari Nature Reserve. The lakes of Cassibile are also well worth a visit (the descent towards the gorges is made on foot and lasts approximately 1 hour). The local food and wine in this area is excellent, especially at Modica and Palazzolo Acreide.
