This magnificent property is located near to Ragusa and covers an area of more than 20 hectares which reaches almost as far as the coast which can be admired from the house on a clear day. The traditional farmhouse or "baglio", almost entirely fortified, was constructed at the beginning of the 19th century. For years it was abandoned but despite this fact the property has recently been restored and retains the original structure which had been severely damaged. Today the property presents itself in all its glory and has regained its former splendour thanks to a meticulous programme of restoration of the original parts of the structure, including the garden which through careful grafting of large trees (carob, olive, palms and other ornamental plants) has given a sense of majesty back to the property.

At the entrance to the "baglio" a magnificent staircase leads you up to the solarium and the swimming pool which are surrounded by date palms and oleanders. The wonderful 14x9 mt swimming pool is heated by solar panels and is equipped with a water massage system. Behind the pool there is a large patio which covers an area of more than 200 square metres. In the patio there are a huge well equipped kitchen (with oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, washing machine) with dining table and a living area with comfortable sofas, armchairs, tables and a fireplace. The antique "baglio" constructed of stone rises from behind the patio, lovingly reconstructed to provide 9 suites with independent entrance, a double bed and a bathroom with shower. 8 of them have also got a kitchenette. On the ground floor there is also a 60 square meter apartment comprising two double beds, a bathroom with shower, and a little kitchen. In the apartment at the ground floor and also in 4 of the suites it is possible to add a single bed.  At the first floor there is another large apartment with one double bedroom, one bedroom with a double bed and a single bed, both with terrace,  a bathroom with bath and a large complete kitchen. All the rooms are equipped with centralised air conditioning, however, it is possible to regulate the temperature in each room on an individual basis. There are numerous comfortable areas in which to pass the time of day under the shade of the magnificent vegetation which surrounds the courtyards. The property is located in the area of Ragusa half way between the town and the marina. It is an ideal location from which to access the magnificent beaches in the area such as Kamarina, Marina di Ragusa, Playa Grande, Pozzallo, Donnalucata and Punto Secca. The baroque towns of Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Ispica and Palazzolo Acreide are a short drive away. Drive a little further and you arrive at Noto and the Vendicari nature reserve. Siracusa, Ortigia and Caltagirone can all be reached easily in approximately one hour by car. Also not to be missed are visits to the nearby Castello di Donnafugata and the lakes of the Cavagrande di Cassibile river.

A young custodian lives on the property in his own apartment. His discreet presence is essential in order to maintain the large property (garden and swimming pool) and to risolve any minor problems that may arise. He is also available, upon request, to prepare breakfast.
The solar heated swimming pool keeps water temperature between 20 and 28 degrees Celsius, depending on the variable weather conditions.
