This lovely private farmhouse was built on the ruins of an ancient Sicilian farm and retains its original characteristic shape. The shady patio in front of the house looks out on to the wild, unspoilt hills typical of this area. The property is located in the heart of the most rural part of Sicily only a few kilometres away from Piazza Armerina and its beautiful mosaics. This quiet and peaceful farmhouse is the ideal place to enjoy the genuine atmosphere of Sicily and to discover its wonderful natural and cultural treasures.

The main part of the house looks on to the valley. The beautiful and shady terrace has been furnished with taste and care by the owners to enable you to relax on the comfy sofas and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Below the terrace there is a table and a barbecue. In a partially-hidden corner of the garden there is a refreshing 5 x 10 metre swimming pool from which beautiful country views are also available. Entering the house you have a spacious living-room and on your right a splendid kitchen built in typical Sicilian style with a wood-burning oven. On your left, through a short passage way, you arrive at a bedroom with three single beds; from here, through a door, you arrive at the double bedroom. There are two bathrooms with shower in the house. The bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning. The whole house is beautifully furnished with care and attention to detail. Near to the main house there is also a guest house with its own entrance, a bedroom with twin beds (a 3rd bed can be added if required) and a bathroom with shower. You can rent the main house together with the guest house or just the main house. Anyway the whole property will be for your exclusive use.

We advise you first of all to explore the immediate vicinity - we are sure you’ll be amazed! The wild landscape makes way for gentle hills covered by beautiful woods as at Pergusa’s Lake, Ogliastrillo’s Lake or in the Rossomanno Reserve. Other wonders are to be found only few kilometres away : the gorgeous “Villa del Casale” in Piazza Armerina (UNESCO heritage site), the ruins of Morgantina and Aidone, the caves of Sperlinga. From this location you can also visit the beautiful Madonie Nature Reserve, Agrigento’s famous Valley of the Temples, the unspoilt south coast of the island (“Scala dei Turchi” is highly recommended) - all of them within a one hour's drive.

A gardener who looks after the land surrounding the property lives in an adjacent but separate apartment with an indipendent entrance. Immediate necessities (drinking water, soap and toilet paper) and a light but enjoyable cold dinner await guests upon their arrival.
