The first wafts of spring air in Sicily induce to have the first bath or to get the first tan without being bothered. In these first days of March we are enjoying a summer weather, with temperatures around 30 degrees and maybe in April it will be warmer for a longer period. In any case this is the best season to visit the island as evenings are still cool, and furthermore you can taste a lot of typical Sicilian products of this period such as the wellknown “frittella” of peas, artichokes and broad beans or the extraordinary plenty of fishes of “passa” ( seasonal fish). But April is also the best month to visit the historical and architectural masterpieces of the island at a more accessible price than the summer one and without any crowd! Among the most suitable estates to spring season, we recommend: Faraglioni and Baia Smeraldo in Cefalù, Acanto in Scicli, Floristella in Piazza Armerina, Alcantara and Stena in Taormina.
